| IFFH Program
At the Institute for Functional Health, we help people frustrated with traditional medicine uncover the root cause of their health issues so they can get off medications, reverse disease, and restore their quality of life.
We do this by having a three step path, starting with the Discovery Day. This is your dedicated, one-on-one time with your provider where we learn your unique health story.
| Discovery Day Approach
It’s important to go over the steps to take to prepare, prior to your Discovery Day. While we do ask that you bring in any recent medical records, it is important that we make sure we’re starting at the most accurate representation of your current health. We ask that you have fasted for 8-12 hours prior to your appointment time, so you can complete your labs immediately after your appointment. We have a lab located in the same building, the next door over.
We ask that you complete your labs the same day, so you do not have to make another trip.
It’s time for your Discovery Day and you should be feeling excited and empowered! We understand that you may be a little nervous, but we want you to feel as comfortable as possible and be honest with your provider. We will take the first few minutes to explain our process, then we will dive into a few questions to get a better picture of what your health has been like recently. Be prepared to go over physical and emotional health, as well as any concerns you’d like to voice.
The appointment is 30 minutes overall and we do ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early.
After your Discovery Day appointment, you will check out at the front desk and our staff will assist you in scheduling your Report Of Findings (ROF) follow up appointment. You will then go next door to complete your labs. We strongly encourage you to arrive fasted so you can complete your lab work on the same day.
If you have any questions about the process, please call us at 210-468-1891.
In the week following your Discovery Day, our doctors will review your lab results and their notes to create your customized Total Health Transformation Program. Your doctor will craft a tailored plan with clear milestones to guide your success—whether it’s a few weeks or several months.
Your doctor will go over your plan at your upcoming Report Of Findings appointment.
Your next visit, called the Report of Findings Appointment (ROF), is where everything comes together. You will receive an email with more detailed information for what to expect.
We highly advise that you if have someone (spouse, child or care-taker) involved in your household’s health or financial decisions, to bring them with you to this appointment.
If you have any questions please call us at 210-468-1891
